Your Role with the Company

The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in all BOH operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, ensuring adherence to recipes, standards, and procedures
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute innovative menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency
• Manage inventory and food costs, ensuring efficient usage of ingredients and minimizing waste
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
• Assist in scheduling, training, and performance management of kitchen staff

Your Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years as a Sous Chef for a $4M+ upscale full service restaurant with high focus on hospitality skills
• Able to accommodate a wide variety of food and cooking methods
• Positive outlook, personable, approachable, hardworking & committed to the success of the team
• Strong time-management skills and sense of urgency in the kitchen
• Highly organized with the ability to plan and lead with strong communication skills
