Position Summary:Ensemble Arts Philadelphia is looking for a hard-working and passionate Café & Lounge Sous Chef, to join our new project opening Fall 2024. A market fresh coffee and sandwich shop during the day - that flips into a fun cocktail bar/lounge in the evening servicing small plates.
This role pays an hourly rate of $26 to $28.

This position will remain open until December 31, 2024.
Responsibilities:- Have working knowledge of kitchen management, inventory management, staff scheduling and food/labor cost maintenance.
- Successfully expedite services of 100+ daily.
- Able to manage the line and assure food quality, presentation and consistency standards are maintained during service.
- Have experience creating and maintaining prep lists, placing orders, and working with vendors.
- Assist with BOH facilities maintenance and upkeep.
- Responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
- Evaluates and solves procedural issues to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Provides training to all kitchen staff to consistently upgrade cooking skills.
- Records production and operational data on specified forms according to local regulations.
- Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
- Ability to work cold and hot stations.
- knowledge of both savory and pastry.
- Knowledge of seasonal produce and products.
- Ability to deliver high standards.
- Ability to manage a kitchen team of 6+ employees.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once.
- Overseeing scheduling and inventory to work within a set budget.
- Strong communication skills a must.
- Team-orientated and positive attitude.
