Boehringer Ingelheim is looking to hire a Sourcing Manager, to join a team, in managing Engineering, Construction & Equipment projects across the USA network. In this role you will lead Sourcing projects in your main geographical area (Midwest,Southeast) while providing additional back up support facility locations. Categories of spend responsibility will include areas such as: A/E Services, General Engineering, Construction Services, Technology, Automation, and Production Equipment.

Compensation: This position, Systems Engineer, offers a base salary typically between $75,000.00 and $110,000.00 USD. There is opportunity to consider higher compensation above this range based on business need, candidate experience and or skills. Duties & Responsibilities
+ Implement Category Strategy following the centrally stipulated Target Operating Model (TOM) and inform accordingly local Business Partners (BPs).
+ Identify, evaluate and classify sourcing risks and devise risk mitigation measures.
+ Manage risk exposure.
+ Identify and evaluate existing and potential local suppliers as well as the establishment and maintenance of supplier relations.
+ Use Business Review Meeting and KPI leverage to resolve potential issues at an early stage.
+ Provide feedback to (Senior) Category Manager as needed.
+ Manage local Business Partners actively and collaborate in order to align common goals.
+ Coordinate Business Partner demands within Sourcing and ensure that relevant information is shared and Business Partner is supported adequately.
+ Optimize buying channels and leverage market opportunities
+ Leverage sourcing tools (including e or reverse-auction, parallel negotiation, etc.)
+ Maximize usage of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or Frame Services Agreements (FSAs) as possible
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or Diploma Degree) in Business Administration or Pharmaceuticals, Master's degree preferred.
+ Three to six years (3-6) experience in category management
+ Local Market Knowledge
+ Pharmaceutical industry knowledge preferred
+ Category-specific knowledge preferred
+ Demonstrated efficiency in: Demand management; Market and supplier analysis; Agility; Relationship building; Driving results

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
+ Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
+ Must be 18 years of age or older.
