Job Summary:
As a Sourcing Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services essential for our manufacturing processes. Your keen eye for detail and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships will be instrumental in maintaining cost-effective and efficient procurement practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supplier Management:
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
Regularly assess supplier performance, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
Sourcing and Procurement:
Analyze demand and forecast trends to create purchase orders os to accommodate supply needs and lead times.
Issue purchase orders accurately and timely, ensuring alignment with production schedules and budget constraints.
Inventory Management:
Collaborate with inventory control teams to maintain optimal levels of inventory, minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and ensure continuity of production.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, supplier reliability, and geopolitical factors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to align purchasing activities with organizational goals and priorities.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide timely support and solutions.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. (Preferred)
2+ years proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within the manufacturing industry.
Must have SAGE ERP experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and contract negotiation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
