Position Summary: 

The Diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times.Responsible for managing all assigned supplies and equipment on the unit. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values. 

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:   

Education:Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)  

Licensure: Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or in the state of Missouri
