Key Responsibilities:
Ultrasound Technologist
13 week assignment
40hrs
Mon-Fri, 8a-4:30p with no weekends, holidays, or call
AHA BLS & ARDMS required
2 yrs of current Ultrasound Tech experience required
Must be proficient with GE Logic 10 Equipment
Common procedures/scans/exams: All outpatient, mainly Breast Ultrasound exams, but may perform all areas of U/S scanning, including ER/Inpatient/Outpatient

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds, including transabdominal and transvaginal scans, to generate detailed images of the female reproductive system and fetal development.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure the accuracy and consistency of ultrasound examinations.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and address any questions or concerns.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and image optimization.
- Assess and document patient medical histories and relevant clinical information.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, radiologists, and other team members to discuss findings and assist in patient management decisions.
- Assist in maintaining inventory, quality control, and the overall cleanliness of the ultrasound department.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards, ensuring a compassionate and patient-centered approach in all interactions.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sonographer with a focus on Obstetric and Gynecologic ultrasound.
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and image analysis software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Additional certifications related to specialized ultrasound techniques in obstetrics and gynecology.
