Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide high-level and detailed consultative solutions
- Understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements.
- Facilitate better communications and understanding of customer requirements between customers, corporate and IT
- Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.
- Provide consultative support to other Virtual Team Specialists and Systems Engineers.
- Mentor less experienced Systems Engineers and be viewed as a leader by senior management, peers, partners.
- Gather product requirements from field and customer and submit to relevant Business Units to improve product and service offerings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources.
- Continuously seek out new technologies and capabilities that could provide client with a competitive advantage
- Ensure the AI team operates in a model wherein they seek continuous improvement opportunities, and support the development of plans to execute those opportunities.
- Continue to develop awareness and acceptance of the EAI platform within the organization, socializing the Integration platform with other leaders within the IT space.
- Establish best practices with development partners, monitor, and measure the quality of deliverables from the teams, ensuring on time and on quality deliverables.
- Monitor advances in technology solutions to ensure that our group keeps pace with the industry, work to leverage existing capabilities to sunset legacy integration where applicable.
- Design and build solutions that are robust, with supportability as a basic tenant of design, leverage best practices and standard tooling in your designs
- Build strong relationships with Business and IS a leader and gain their confidence and respect
- Gather and document business challenges and develop comprehensive technical solutions to solve them
Required Qualifications: (e.g., education, skills, abilities, knowledge) :
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on software design and development
- A minimum of 5 years' experience implementing open source frameworks (i.e., Spring, Hibernate, iBatis, etc.)
- A minimum of 5 years providing solutions based on Event Driven Architecture, Services Orchestration
- A minimum of 10 years of solutioning for projects implementing agile and waterfall methodologies
- A minimum of 10 years' experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with implementing web services and SOA solutions
- A minimum of 5 years of documented architecture experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with performance optimizations such as improving scalability, availability, demand, continuity, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
- Professional demeanor
- Experience in the management of an offshore team, or distributed team a must
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments (Ex Java, .NET, iOS, Oracle, SQL, Linux, Windows)
