Capital Solutions Group (CSG) is the investment team responsible for performing research and making investment recommendations in support of Capital Group's multi-asset portfolio solutions effort. The multi-asset portfolio solutions include but are not limited to: American Funds and Insurance Series based '40 Act fund-of-funds and solutions; Global target date and model platforms; PCS model portfolios; institutional solutions overseen by Capital Group.

As a Solutions Analyst, you will join a team of collegial, honest, and intellectually rigorous researchers in Capital's investment organization. As a Solutions Analyst, you will contribute to the team in the following ways:

• Work in a team of Analysts, Portfolio Managers, Research Director, and Business Managers to deliver high impact applied research in support of multi-asset portfolios solutions platforms.
• Research, develop and maintain relevant analytical frameworks and quantitative models.
• Contribute to / initiate foundational and/or portfolio construction research that cuts across many portfolios and geographies (US, Europe and Asia).
• Utilize industry publications, industry databases, internal proprietary databases and additional internal resources as needed to compile research.
• Bring and apply domain knowledge to the broad research topics.
• Identify new areas for research and find creative ways to solve problems as they apply to monitoring, attribution, asset allocation and portfolio construction.
• Participate in development of computing/data platform efforts to support and enhance research processes in a collaborative environment.
• Gain familiarity with our fixed income strategies and investment process.

• You possess a 5-10 years of relevant investment experience involving building asset allocation and portfolio construction solutions using multiple asset classes.
• You bring a strong background in fixed income asset classes and markets.
• You demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong understanding of time series analysis, portfolio theory, optimization, monte carlo simulation and statistical models.
• You demonstrate the ability to develop recommendations and support assertions with relevant quantitative and qualitative data.
• You are a skilled communicator, able to engage with investment professionals, distill complex concepts into simple language and deliver solutions to diverse group of associates.
• You have strong academic credentials with advanced degree in business, finance, econometrics, mathematics or science.
• You are proactive and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• You have strong working knowledge in Bloomberg.

Base Salary Range: $198,000 - $294,000

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
