About the Job
Position Summary\
\
The Solution Architect will design architectural solutions to support the digital implementation of business strategy and goals. The architecture designs will address business impact, application integration, data integration and migration, security, networking, deployment, and user access.\
\
The Solution Architect will work closely with the Lead Enterprise Architect and the Enterprise Architects to ensure the successful realization of the enterprise architecture roadmap and strategy.\
\
Primary Accountabilities\
\
Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to assess, identify, design, and document digital solutions that conform to Health Firsts enterprise architecture\
\
Translate business and non-functional requirements into robust, resilient, and re-usable technical design components\
\
Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meet Health Firsts standards for scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability\
\
Design within the enterprise architecture framework, adhering to architecture principles, modeling and design standards, reference architectures, and design patterns\
\
Work with the Enterprise Architects to design reference architectures and roadmaps to best align with business strategy\
\
Demonstrate leadership by taking initiative in team building, influencing, conflict management, and problem resolution to facilitate success \
\
Support vendor evaluations -responsible for providing recommendations and assessment scoring\
\
Navigate across the IT organization (networking, security, interfaces, etc.) to identify non-functional requirements that would not be clear to the business\
\
Support application rationalization and modernization efforts \
\

Qualifications \
\
\
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Will be considered required, unless specifically listed as preferred)\
\
Education: Bachelor Degree\
\
Certification: None Required\
\
Work Experience: 10+ years experience in software design and implementation\
\
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Microsoft Office, modeling tools and techniques, excellent communication skills, extreme customer service mindset\
\
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\
\
Education: No additional education required\
\
Certification: TOGAF\
\
Work Experience: 15+ years experience in software design and implementation, with 3 years in healthcare IT \
\
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: \
\
Working knowledge of the following: \

Architecture training/certification (TOGAF, DODAF, FEA, Zachman)\
\
Network, Infrastructure, Security\
\
IAM, SAML, SSO, LDAP, Active Directory\
\
UML, OOAD / Object Oriented Analysis & Design\

Architecture Tools (Sparx-ea, Archi/Archimate, MEGA, Alfabet/ARIS, Visio)\
\
Cloud technologies: SaaS/Paas/Iaas, VMWare, AWS, Azure\

Integration: ESB, EIL, Corepoint, Mulesoft, APIGEE\
\
