Our client is looking to add a Renewable Energy Electrical Engineering Project Manager to their talented and growing team!
Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible for leading the technical electrical engineering evaluation, design,
and execution of solar projects.
Manage the design and review of solar system drawings including electrical interconnection, modeling, and performance data
Review technical equipment specifications and conceptual/detailed design including analysis of load flow, voltage drop, arc flash and integration of protective relay systems and controls
Prepare and review single lines, electrical block diagrams, power, and instrumentation plans
Assess project structural considerations and interconnect issues
Coordinate various engineering related activities (studies, surveys, etc.)
Review engineering work to ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, safety practices, technical specifications, and contractual requirements
Review technical portions of RFP and contract documents
Conduct site visits to determine optimal design/layout/POI
Act as liaison with Project Management on matters relating to engineering progress, quality, scope issues on projects as well as interface with customers on technical questions/concerns
Support the preparation of sales proposals and needs relative to quoting, design & follow up
Travel as needed
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required, minimum 1-3 years experience
Solar or new construction project management experience preferred
Proficiency in understanding solar system design (Heliosocpe, AutoCAD, PVsyst)
NABCEP Design Specialist Certification preferred
Knowledge of Electric (NEC) and Fire codes
Critical and innovative thinking; attention to detail
Experience with various solar panels and inverters
Experience preparing electrical engineering design packages
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Strong written/verbal communication skills
