About the Job
The ideal candidate will be available to work hybrid in the American Fork, UT office (1-2 days per week). Unfortunately, Henry Schein One is unable to hire individuals residing in North Dakota, Hawaii, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Puerto Rico, or other US Territories at this time. This role will only consider W2 candidates and not C2C candidates.
Job Summary
The Software License Compliance Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining effective software license management processes to ensure a legal software license environment within the global Henry Schein One environment.
This position entails offering expertise and assistance in software license management, focusing on reducing risks and ensuring cost savings for the organization. You will be tasked with staying informed about modifications to vendors' licensing models and metrics, conducting research to keep the company abreast of the dynamic landscape of technology and information within the realm of software licensing and compliance.

The posted range for this position is $63,850 - $80,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 7.5% bonus not reflected in the posted range.

What You Will Do
- Maintains accurate software licensing management across all software platforms used by global internal teams
- Collaborates directly with the procurement department and leadership to acquire, streamline, and manage software licenses
- Evaluates licensing offerings from providers to align with the company's needs, providing recommendations on license levels to key stakeholders
- Maintains accurate documentation tracking for all licenses and their features across various 3rd party vendors and platforms
- Audits all licenses in use by teams to maintain accurate license counts and usage
- Analyzes license usage and delivers reports to leadership on number and levels and associated costs
- Negotiates contract terms and licensing pricing with 3rd party vendors to secure competitive rate
- Presents to leadership on individual or total costs of software and licensing in use, as well as future planning and forecasting

Qualifications
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in IT delivery in the areas of procurement, asset management and/or contract administration
- Proficiency in examining vendor licensing models and cost scenarios to identify the most effective licensing and deployment strategies
- Excellent organizational skills, decision-making, analysis, and problem-solving, with the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expertise in managing software audits and supporting IT Asset Management Tools
- In-depth experience with the software license renewal process
- Proficiency in dealing with enterprise vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Atlassian, and others, interpreting software license agreements for compliance with licensing metrics
- Knowledge of ISO 19770-1 for software asset management
