Consultants are the bridge between the business problems and the technology solutions.
Consultants confer with clients to identify and document requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery.
Key Skills
- Client development: experience working with clients to develop implementation plans and supporting the client to mobilize internal resources top successfully adopt Spira's ORP.
- Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts.
- Experience with SQL and T-SQL, including database tools such as SSAS, SSIS is an asset.
- Ability to work within a team environment, and particularly in a matrixed company and client scenarios.
- Ability to independently identify, investigate and develop solutions to problems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software productivity tools (word processing, statistical, spreadsheet, presentation and database software) to meet goals of position.
- Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in protection and dissemination of Spira confidential and proprietary information.
- Ability to establish friendly, professional and cooperative relations with internal and external contacts during the course of work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills including preparation for and execution of executive meetings (strategic direction, materials development, planning, etc.).
- Ability to work in a small and agile company that has a team-oriented “getting things done” attitude with contagious passion and energy.
- A leader, a committed team player, organized, and persistent with a strong work ethic, and have excellent communication skills.
Project Management
- Basic project management skills and comfort in following implementation best practices
- Proactively engage all project stakeholders to ensure that the required information is available for business critical decisions. Actively manage multiple projects allocating work and resources according to data requirements, production timelines and cost controls.
- Successfully runs a small to medium piece of work either in a client setting or from a significant technical perspective
Technical
- Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts.
Communication and Influencing Skills
- At ease communicating and collaborating with clients to understand their technical issues and determine the most effective solutions based on cost and technical. Well experienced in conducting after-action reviews of results and final product delivery including recommendations for further action.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Client Development
- Serves as the primary day-to-day Spira representative to active project clients
Other
- 3+ years of experience delivering software solutions, business consulting or technical consulting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science
- A successful track managing projects
