The Wearables Systems Health team is part of the Wearables organization. The team’s mission is to build the foundational Systems software stacks unlocking the full potential of our hardware in deep technology domains enabling exceptional AR & AI based user experiences across all Wearable products. This team has shipped the breakthrough success RayBan Meta AI glasses and is working on shipping an exciting and growing Wearables products roadmap. Required Skills:

Software Engineering Manager, Wearables Core OS Responsibilities:

1. Grow teams of domain experts to deliver components at cross layers of the system, e.g. power, thermal, kernel, synchronization primitives, resource allocators, memory management, etc.

2. Manage a team of technology experts, help develop their growth and careers tailored to long-term skill development, personalities, and work styles.

3. Own the definition and KPI/metrics of one or more work streams focused on hardware bringup, silicon integration, and power and performance management and optimization.

4. Understand software components from multiple partner teams, lead the integration of those components into the unified product code base, and drive their continued development.

5. Profile power and thermal problems and drive optimizations that span the entire software stack and multiple hardware/firmware/software teams.

6. Develop the vision and strategy to help set direction for the team, while staying on top of the day-to-day software development.

7. Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional hardware and software engineering teams.

8. Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing best practices and process for regular assessment and improvement.

9. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

10. 5+ years' Software Engineering experience in the following: device driver development, embedded systems, or operating systems.

11. 5+ years’ experience working on systems software in a large-scale C/C++ code base.

12. 2+ years’ experience defining and driving technical work streams and providing technical leadership for software engineering teams.

13. Experience in one or more of the following areas: BSP/Board Support Package, Operating Systems, Android OS, RTOS, Bootloader, Power Management, Linux, Graphics and Display Drivers, MCU (Microcontroller).

14. Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software products on large code bases that span platforms and tools.

15. Deep specialized experience in two or more of the following areas: BSP/Board Support Package, Operating Systems, CoreOS, Kernel, Android Kernel, Bootloader, Power Management, RTOS, Linux, Graphics and Display Drivers, MCU (Microcontroller).

16. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Public Compensation:

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
