Software Engineering Manager - Zachary Piper LLC

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join the team out of Tyson’s Corner, VA. The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of talented software engineers and be responsible for driving the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineering Manager include:

·      Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure their professional growth and success.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver software solutions that meet business needs.

·      Define and implement best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies to ensure high-quality software development.

·      Collaborate with senior leadership to define the software engineering strategy and roadmap, aligning it with the company's goals and objectives.

Qualifications for the Software Engineering Manager include:                                                                                            

·      7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

·      Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.

·      Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.

·      Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of software engineers.

·      Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

 Compensation for the Software Engineering Manager include:

·      Salary Range: $140,000/ yr. - $160,000 yr.
