Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- 12 years of experience in software development, including 5 years of technical management of software developers.
- 5 years of experience with high-performance systems, in the storage domain.
- 5 years of experience with system-level software and virtualization technologies.

In this role, you will deliver architecture for the data serving path of Persistent Disk (PD).

- Manage a team of Software Engineers focusing on virtualization and hardware offload aspects of the team, and delivering products in the Google Compute Engine (GCE) service.
- Establish technology and product outlook in collaboration with peers (Developers, Site Reliability Engineers, Program Managers), partners, and senior leadership.
- Develop the team for the task through establishing adaptable team structures, recruiting and growing technical and people leaders, developing the culture of inclusiveness and engineering excellence.
- Oversee regular project planning and resource allocation activities allowing the team to meet both long and short term goals.
- Oversee execution within and across teams with focus on quality and reliability. Perform analyses and establish processes for improving team’s execution and performance.
