Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Software Development Manager to lead a talented team of engineers in building cutting-edge enterprise software solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for technology, a strong commitment to leadership excellence, and expertise in modern software development practices. This position requires a strategic thinker with hands-on programming capabilities and a drive to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster the growth and development of a high-performing software engineering team through mentoring and individual coaching.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide guidance and feedback.
- Enhance team efficiency by optimizing Scrum processes and promoting Agile best practices.
- Spearhead the transition to a services-oriented architecture with modern APIs and scalable, automated infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with team members, including conducting thorough code reviews.
- Deliver technical expertise and hands-on assistance to resolve complex challenges and high-priority issues.
- Lead the integration and execution of rigorous testing protocols, including functional and non-functional testing.
- Anticipate potential technical hurdles and proactively develop effective solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to security and compliance standards in all aspects of the development lifecycle.
- Promote a collaborative and innovative team environment while resolving conflicts and guiding decision-making.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a focus on enterprise cloud applications.
- 2+ years in a leadership or team management role within a software development environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as C# and SQL.
- Expertise in version control systems, particularly Git.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and building scalable REST APIs and microservices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure services like Azure or AWS.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
- Experience with automated testing tools and test-driven development.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
