Who We Are

The Single Sign On (SSO) – Services team is a dynamic team that owns a core component to Cisco Security’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution. We are responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining Duo's Single Sign On solution to our customers. We believe that security technology is great, unless it gets in your way, and we use a combination of web development technologies to deliver an exceptional user experience that is both more secure and more efficient for our end users. We emphasize software craftsmanship and apply it to our development practices through Testing, Continuous Integration, Delivery Automation, and Mentoring. We prioritize team success highest and tend to swarm on sprint work to meet our shared goals.

As a Software Engineer on the SSO-Services team, you will bring your problem-solving skills to our already diverse and talented group with the goal to create a seamless Sign On experience for our customers.

What you will do

In this role, you will, you will use your Python programming expertise to code, build new features, resolve bug repots, triage and resolve support escalation. You will have the opportunity to lead team projects focused on paying down tech debt and making code improvements, for example.

This position requires on call availability, usually one week per quarter, though may be more. Candidates must be willing to commit to on call requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 3+ years of software engineering industry experience or MS degree with 1+ years of experience
• 2+ years of programming with Python
• 1+ years of experience creating web services for external, enterprise customer usage
• 1+ years of experience working on highly available distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Security engineering experience
• Experience with SAML or OIDC
• Experience with React, Webpack, Typescript
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS
