Position Summary:
As a Software Engineer at Penn Foster Group, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our next-generation educational platforms. This full-stack role involves working with technologies in a Microsoft environment, including Azure Cloud, C#, .NET, and React. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver software that enhances the learning experience for thousands of users. This position is fully remote.
Essential Job Functions:
• Build and maintain scalable web applications using C#, .NET, and React.
• Work with Azure Cloud services like web apps, function apps, and databases to create seamless solutions.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop innovative features that enhance the student learning experience.
• Implement DevOps best practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub for CI and deployment.
• Contribute to code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge across the team.
• Troubleshoot issues across the full stack and work on fixes in a timely manner.
• Enhance your skills by working on various parts of the development process and taking ownership of smaller projects.
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability through best practices and continuous improvement.
• Work with Jira to track your tasks and collaborate with the product team.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• 2-4+ years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, and React.
• Experience with Azure Cloud services and resources.
• Strong understanding of full-stack development and best practices.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jira.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
