Software Engineer (On-Site) - PrismHR

About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop maintainable, scalable code with a quality-first mindset, and to collaborate on those practices within the team
- Work with web-based software development technologies, ranging all tiers of the application from Database to Front-End.
- Work closely with other engineers, quality engineers, UX specialists and product managers to develop PrismHR’s flagship software products in SaaS, mobile, and on-premise environments.
- Collaborate with the team on estimation of work, planning and retrospective after development phases.
- Adhere to the best practices and coding standards specified by PrismHR and the team.
- Complete work with minimal supervision and participate in code reviews with peers and team leaders.
Technical Skills:
- 2+ years of JavaScript/Typescript experience at an intermediate level proficiency is a must
- Experience building and maintaining complex, single-page web-apps, using modern frameworks, with preference given to Angular
- Apply local and global CSS styles to a single page app in the browser
- Experience building RESTful web services with Node.js, and frameworks such as Express
- Run docker containers on a local development environment
- Track and contribute source code to git repositories
Experience:
- Experienced with agile development methodologies, continuous integration, test-driven development
- Bachelors/Advanced degree (or experience equivalent) with 3 + years of software Industry experience in product design, architecture, or support experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies, dive into challenges and take direction
- Must exhibit a positive approach and the ability to work efficiently as a self-directed contributor
- HCM domain knowledge is a plus
PrismHR is a fast-paced SaaS company which provides customers with a cloud-based payroll process software application. PrismHR also provides professional services including system implementation consulting, custom configurations, and training.
