Responsibility Level:
An experienced Software Requirements Engineer who will support our customer to elicit, negotiate, document, track and control software requirements for advanced battery systems. This individual should be highly motivated and ready to contribute to the success of the team.
Responsibilities:
• Review OEM customer specifications to identify requirements relevant to battery management software
• Support creation and review of System Requirements and System Architecture
• Collaborate with Systems, Modeling, and Hardware Engineering to develop algorithms and diagnostics
• Lead the development of the Software Requirements Specification (SRS) including authoring and reviews
• Manage the traceability of software requirements through the software development process
• Participate in the definition and review of Software Architecture designs
• Participate in the establishment of standardized common software modules
• Review Software Test Plans for completeness and relevance to verification of requirements
• Support creation of the Software Development Plan, especially requirements management plans
• Interface and provide direction to the customer software team, LTTS software team and other software suppliers to customer
• Manage work packages using configuration management and issue tracking tools
• Execute the software development process and make improvements to process and infrastructure
• Participate in cross-functional project planning and review events
• Assess proposed features and perform impact analysis as a member of the SW Change Control Board
• Coach team members to promote best practices and continuous improvement
Required Experienced-
- Designed and developed real-time embedded software for Battery Management Systems (BMS) in autonomous agricultural equipment, focusing on power optimization and battery health monitoring. Implemented SOC, SOH, and temperature monitoring, improving battery lifecycle by 20%.
