Job Details
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and document flight simulator software for flight dynamics models
- Create, maintain, conduct flight test data collection plans
- Develop Qualification Test Guide tests and documentation to validate flight dynamics models
- Participate in customer acceptance and regulatory qualification of flight simulator training devices
- Perform hardware/software integration & testing on flight simulator training devices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience developing and integrating flight dynamic models
- Experience creating Qualification Test Guides
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Understanding of longitudinal and lateral-directional flight dynamics
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, specifically propulsion, flight controls, and ground reaction forces
- Experience integrating/testing aircraft OEM aerodynamic models preferred
- Fixed-wing flight dynamics and flight simulation industry experience preferred
- Proficiency with C/C++, Python, Linux/Unix, and Shell scripting is a plus
- Flight testing experience is a plus
