Title - Software Engineer ILocation - Johnston, IADescription:Major Purpose:Works on a product team alongside other software engineers andsoftware analysts to support basic product design by writing and testing code todeliver simple to complex functionality on a defined portion of the product itsupports. This is an entry level role that is designed to learn, grow incompetence, and develop the most basic capability needed to operate effectivelyin this role. Work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors beforeimplementation; Applies existing applications to routine problems. MajorDuties:? Develops, codes, configures, and tests programs and systems. ?Evaluates and implements enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality,and performance of software applications. ? Analyzes assignments and determinessoftware specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives. ? Executesnecessary documentation, as directed, or needed. ? Collaborates with otherrelevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet businessneeds. ? Follows industry-standard agile software design methodology fordevelopment and documentation.Skills, Abilities, Knowledge: ? Ability to analyze, translate, and definebusiness requirements into technical solutions. ? Excellence in verbal andwritten communication forms with emphasis on persuasive communication, tact andnegotiation. ? Ability to apply engineering principles and concepts for designs.? Ability to manage many competing priorities/requests in a fast-pacedenvironment Education:? Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline orequivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent) ? Degree inan Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - UniversityDegree (4 years or equivalent) Work Experience: ? Previous experience inprogramming/software development. (1 - 3 years) ? Software development processesexperience. (1 - 3 years) ? Participating in Agile Development (1 - 3 years) ?Experience working in an Agile Environment (1 - 3 years)If a Glider Assessment is Required, enter the assessment IDN/APosition TitleSoftware EngineerSpecific Position Requirements1st shift position, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm M-FSPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:May need to accompany Deere teams to a 3rd party supplierin other Iowa towns (Cedar Rapids and Marshalltown). Candidate will need to haveWiFi and the ability to work from home due to unforeseen circumstances (IE,weather, loss of power, network at ISG, etc)JOB DUTIES:Programming and internal user support, including managing anddeveloping applications and servers, and doing data analysis.Programming languages and skillsneeded: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React,ASP.NET[http://asp.net/], C#, Jquery, SQL.Tools: Visual Studio 2022, Sublime Text, Source Tree, GithubPREFERRED: Degree in IT related field – manager is open to recent gradcandidates.Business casual dress code. Preferably interviews will be conducted in person.Position will work onsite immediately. Visa sponsorship is not available, now orin the near future, for this position.Cross border work is not permitted for this role.Glider AI assessment will be required when an interview is requested.
