Software Engineer at AKKODIS

 

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ/Plano, TX (Hybrid). You will leverage their expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2019 to optimize database performance and modify Python scripts for a new React-based UI.

 

Rate Range: $58/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Optimizing and tuning Microsoft SQL Server 2019 databases for improved performance.

• Modifying and enhancing Python scripts to support the application's new React-based UI.

• Collaborating with the BUCS development team across multiple locations for daily PNL production processes.

• Ensuring compliance with wide development processes, standards, and policies.

• Managing releases and providing day-to-day support for the application as needed.

• Mentoring junior team members and sharing best practices.

• Driving efficiency improvements by implementing Agile and Lean software development practices.

• Enhancing the technical toolset and architecture to align with the latest technology standards.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering or database development.

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and database performance tuning.

• Strong experience with Python scripting, React, and C#.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $68.00 per hour
