About the Job
Fidelity is seeking a hardworking Software Engineer in Test to join a team that is building responsive web designs. As a member of the team you’ll with your team members to provide solutions that meet not only functional, but also performance, scalability and reliability requirements. You will be expected to work as a member of a high functioning Scrum team to help drive the next generation user experience for our the customer facing website.
The Ideal Candidate
- Obsessed with creating the best end-to-end customer experience
- Owns the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
- Multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of technologies and test automation frameworks (Oracle, Cucumber, JavaScript/Angular, HTTP, RESTful web services)
- Passionate about Test Driven Development, developing robust software, writing testable and maintainable code
- knowledge and experience testing Camunda BPM (Business Process Management) and Kafka
- Disciplined, willing to take initiative, pragmatic and results-oriented
- Has keen attention to detail and wants to tackle really hard problems, not just detect them
- Able to learn large software systems end-to-end quickly
- Keenly interested in learning new technologies and their adoption
- Able to work with remote and international team members
- Excellent communication skills as they are responsible to be an active member of the squad (socialize test artifacts, bring defects to the squad, ensure stability of testing environments)
- We work as an Agile team member to provide solutions to business requirements including automated test scenarios
- Participate in understanding and grooming of user stories, build QA tasks, test cases, and functional automation
- Participate in product demos at iteration reviews
- Log defects/issues and work with team members to ensure resolution
- Strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or Postgres.
- Experience with PL/SQL and sophisticated queries, views, packages etc.
- Expertise in Java, Python, Karate and/or Cucumber.
- Expert knowledge in test automation frameworks(Selenium & Rest assured) and demonstrate proficiency, quality and passion in your coding ability
- Experience with UI and Microservices Architecture, Restful API’s, Enterprise messaging like ActiveMQ, Kafka
- Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Stash.
- knowledge and experience testing Camunda BPM (Business Process Management) and Kafka
- Experience or understanding of Agile software development methodology using Scrum
- Hands-on software QA testing experience
- Strong understanding of QA engineering, analysis, and testing concepts
- Strong problem identification and solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must
- Strong understanding of JIRA and Xray tools and processes
