About the Job
4 days per week x10 hours shift; every 9-weeks On-Call rotation (typically quiet/not overbearing)
Hybrid: Tues & Wed onsite
This is an IT Software Engineering position that will perform work related to new application development and Cloud. Workers at this level solve complex problems, manage work, and provide leadership to others in application areas of specialization, with minimal supervision and increased latitude for unreviewed work. User will also provide application support as well.
In Development Role:
New application developer and directs other programmers in required programming languages such as database SQL, Python, and Typescript (Angular/Nodejs). Should have a proven AWS cloud programming language experience and strong Terraform skills.
Leads troubleshooting for issues and implement fixes to assigned solutions. Can resolve complex issues that require significant freedom of action and sound judgement. Mentor team members on Cloud and application development. Can present information on technically complex subjects in an understandable manner in both oral and written form.
This role will be a key resource in future Cloud projects for our Internal application portfolio and new development.
In Support Role:
Monitors production operation and maintain the availability of assigned applications. Provide 24X7 on call support in a team rotation. Responds to production emergencies (application down and logic errors) within the appropriate Service Level Agreement (SLA). Coordinates response for critical and high Incidents.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Work experience in addition to degree: 5-10 years as an IT Application Analyst or Software Engineer.
Job-specific knowledge, skills or abilities:
- Strong Cloud, Terraforms, Concourse, and Typescript (Angular/Nodejs), SQL, Python, LINQ, and MongoDB skills. Able to work in a team environment.
- Should have good design thinking skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous technical lead experience. Demonstrated success in leadership of others.
- Demonstrated success in leadership of a portfolio of applications. Expert technical issue-resolution ability.
- .NET/C# experience.
