As a Software Engineer within our (NGA) Next-Generation Avionics group, you will work with a talented team of engineers responsible for designing and developing advanced software solutions for cutting-edge avionics technology.

Key Responsibilities


+ Design, develop, code, and test, and software solutions for avionics display systems


+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, design software architectures, and implement software modules.


+ Design, develop, and test software applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and user-friendliness.


+ Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system performance and reliability


+ Software architecture and coding


+ Integration


+ Feature Definition


+ Verification and Validation


+ Analytical skills & software development skills


U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST HAVE


+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics


+ BS Degree (2+ years of experience) OR MS Degree (with 0-2 years experience)


WE VALUE


+ Understanding various software development life cycles, methodologies and tools.


+ Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Ada, Python and/or Open GL, as well as real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development tools


+ Experience in any of the following is a PLUS :


+ Avionics products, i.e. Avionics Displays & Graphics, Flight Mgmt, Autopilot, Flight Planning, Flight Controls, Flight Displays (PFD), Traffic Collision Avoidance (TCAS), Crew Alert Messaging (CAS), Terrain, Radios, etc


+ Understanding of User Application development.


+ Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.


+ Experience operating in an Agile framework
