We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our team in the Greater Philadelphia area.  You must be passionate about designing and developing software solutions that control a fleet of automated guided vehicles.

This position is not Remote.

Purpose:

Creating, deploying, and supporting the software lifecycle for program, applications and tools related to controlling fleets of mobile robots.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain internally developed software through the entire lifecycle
• Develop and implement software projects using the Microsoft Windows development environment
• Participates in design and code reviews
• Setup and configure Windows Server operating system for use in manufacturing production systems
• Configure and maintain test and production SQL databases
• Generate custom configurations based on project requirements
• Create and implement test plans
• Create and update task list using issue tracking system (JIRA)
• Collaborate with project managers and customers to understand the requirements and deliverables for projects
• Complete assignments as part of a multidisciplinary project team

Requirements:

• Excellent oral and written skills
• Able to work on independent tasks, or collaborate with others on larger tasks
• Demonstrated ability to be innovative and work as part of a project team.
• Able to travel on short notice for up to 25% of the time, domestic and international, to customer sites.
• Current/valid driver’s license
• Current/valid passport or ability to obtain one. 

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL programming and efficient query writing required.
• Proficiency in Object Oriented Programing using C# or similar language.
• Prior programming experience required.
• Experience with Visio or other visual data flow tools required
• Experience with Git or similar source control a plus
• Experience with Secure Software Development Practice a plus
• Experience with SOAP / REST Web Services a plus.
• Windows Server Administration or IT Networking a plus
• CompTIA A+/Net+/Sec+ or similar a plus

Experience:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Computer Science or Engineering
