Position Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to develop efficient and functional server-side applications. This role encompasses all phases of the software development lifecycle, along with mentoring junior developers. If you are an experienced developer with a passion for back-end technologies, we would like to meet you.
Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality products that fulfill customer requirements. This is a hands-on development position that involves architecting, implementing, deploying, and supporting custom internally developed software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement functional requirements
- Develop efficient back-end features using Python
- Integrate front-end components into applications
- Manage testing and bug resolution
- Prepare technical documentation
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design into code
- Mentor and coach junior team members
- Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements
Technical Needs:
- Backend Development: Proficiency in Python 3.7+ for backend development.
- Containerization: Experience with Docker and Docker Compose for local development.
- Cloud Hosting: Familiarity with AWS hosting services.
- Database Management: Expertise in working with Neo4J databases.
- Linux: Knowledgeable about Linux systems and commands.
Nice-to-Have:
- Frontend Development: Experience with JavaScript for frontend development.
Technical Domain Leadership:
- Strategic IT Ownership: Develop and maintain a multi-year strategic digital capability roadmap that aligns with business and IT priorities. Manage the portfolio and budget effectively.
- Business Case Development: Lead the creation of compelling business cases for digital investments, ensuring alignment with platform strategy and business outcomes.
- External Awareness: Stay informed of external business drivers and technology trends, bringing innovative ideas to the table.
