Job Description:
Semper Valens Solutions is looking for a Software Engineer to support a newly awarded five year contract. The opportunity relates to intelligence, sensors, and analytics at Aberdeen Proving Ground MD
Duties:
- Provide technical support in the planning, authoring, and implementation of the PM IS&A modernization efforts to include creating software and hardware architectures and software engineering and technical support through integration of new/emerging technologies.
- Review IS&A overarching requirements and provide input into the establishment of software requirements.
- Assist the Government with all software engineering activities in support of current fielded systems that have transitioned into sustainment.
- Provide systems and software engineering support with an emphasis on the engineering skills and knowledge required to assess, and analyze large, complex systems and their integration into future Army strategic or tactical systems.
- Support the full software life cycle of a product line. Prepare/write/update the Configuration Management Plan.
- Author and synchronize software processes, policies, and methodologies across Systems Engineering IPT and ensure compatibility with System of System level guidance.
- Manage and maintain a government Development Security Operations (DevSecOps or DSO) pipeline and a Machine Learning Operations Pipeline (ML OPS). The contractor shall ensure the pipelines maintain accreditation, assist tenants to onboard new projects and also support current tenants with any technical questions regarding their projects.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Direct experience working with user representatives, and Army and Joint programs to develop and execute interoperability testing between systems.
- Direct experience with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance software systems.
- Direct experience in the design, integration, configuration, and analysis of complex software systems, military electronics, computer networking, and digital and graphic display systems. Includes direct experience with Department of Defense System Engineering processes.
- Experience building web-based applications inside commercial cloud providers. This resource will support the PM in operationalizing its intelligence enterprise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, System, Software or Computer Engineering; Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 4+ years' related work experience is required.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
