Embedded C Software Engineer
Full time position
Hybrid position-commuting distance of Hartford, CT
We are searching for a talented and experienced Embedded C Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a vital role in our engineering team, performing a range of duties including designing, developing, reviewing, testing, and documenting software used for a wide variety of customer applications, in varied industries.
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of design analytics, algorithms, analysis tools, and the integration of hardware and software. To excel in this position, all candidates should be critical and creative thinkers, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. (figure stuff out as a team)
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge with multiple programming languages. (C, C++, C#, SQL, python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, etc.)
- Perform periodic analysis and reviews of computer hardware and software using available technology and testing tools.
- Respond to all software-related issues and provide technical support to all staff members.
- Conduct design reviews of software to industry safety and quality standards
- Ensure requirements are being implemented through the SW
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and incorporate new technology into new projects.
- Draft new software requirements and designs and present them to the team.
- Plan and manage, design & development of software related to hardware and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of a certified environment is helpful. (Aerospace, Medical device)
- Strong knowledge of design analytics, algorithms, and measuring tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A creative thinker with good analytical abilities.
- Proficient in problem-solving
- Ability to change direction quickly and learn fast as projects cover multiple industries, environments, and operating systems.
