We are seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the Control Plane team of an in-house distributed database system that serves some of the most demanding needs of AWS services. This system stands as a pioneering example in the realm of databases, having introduced concepts that are now considered cutting-edge innovations within the field. The team behind this system remains committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation, demonstrating an ongoing dedication to advancing the field of databases. In this role you will continue to innovate for Amazon and support AWS' ever-increasing needs and scale. As a Software Development Manager for the Control Plane team, you will be responsible for leading a group of talented engineers in the ongoing mission to empower the product to maintain its high availability, manageability and customer experience. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $148,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
