Job Description:

We are seeking a Software Development Manager to develop highly secure SD-WAN appliances for on-prem and cloud environments. This is a key software engineering position. The candidate will be responsible for managing multiple embedded software development teams. Software performance engineering is an essential aspect of the role. This person will be based in our San Jose, CA office on a hybrid basis.

How you'll make your mark:

You will manage multiple multi-site software development teams. Architect, design, and develop data networking products. You will proactively work on improving the quality and performance of Silver Peak's EdgeConnect product

About you:

• You have a BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• You have proven knowledge of computer networking domain experience.
• You have embedded software development experience.
• You have strong IP and data communication networking expertise including Ethernet switching and IP routing.
• You have demonstrated expertise in managing large multi-site software development teams.
• You have strong project management skills.
• You have familiarity with hardware development and HW/SW co-design.
• You're experienced with Linux kernel development.
• You have 8-10+ years of experience managing large software development teams.

USD Annual Salary: $133,500.00 - $307,000.00
