Title: Software Testing Engineer

Shift: 9AM - 5PM on site (hours are flexible)

Location: Marlborough, MA

Pay Range: $55-70/hr (Flexible)

Duration: 4 month contract-hire, Client wants someone they can bring on full time eventually so likely to extend

Must Haves

• 5-7 Years Experience as a Software Testing Engineer
• Medical Device Industry Experience
• Manual and Black Box Testing Experience
• Experience with Automation and Python
• Program Language Understanding
• Eager to learn + team player

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and automated tests to ensure the software is functional and reliable
• Create detailed test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
• Document and report bugs, errors, and inconsistencies found during testing.
• Enhance and automate test procedures to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
• Provide feedback on potential issues, risks, and usability during product design reviews.
• Validate that requirements and specifications have been met after the software is released or implemented.
• Assess new testing tools and methodologies to improve the testing process.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Software Testing Engineer to join the Software Development team within the R&D organization. In this role, you will perform both manual and automated tests to ensure our software is functional and reliable. You will create detailed test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications, and document and report any bugs, errors, and inconsistencies found during testing. Additionally, you will enhance and automate test procedures to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process. Your feedback on potential issues, risks, and usability during product design reviews will be invaluable. You will also validate that requirements and specifications have been met after the software is released or implemented. To continuously improve our testing process, you will assess new testing tools and methodologies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
