Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Software Development Engineer for a contract-to-hire position in Sunnyvale, CA.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Perform requirement analysis by collaborating with business and IT stakeholders
- Finalize the project scope for the upcoming phase/sprint
- Conduct the system design in relates to the finalized scope
- Perform application coding to the agreed scope and system design
- Perform unit testing and migrate the unit tested application code to test environment
- Collaborate with quality assurance engineers for system testing, integration testing and regression testing.
- Provide required support to business users for the user acceptance testing
- Prepare the fully tested code base for production implementation
- Collaborate with the deployment team for production implementation
- Provide postproduction support
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (7+ years) in java, python or NodeJs, Prefer candidates with certification.
- Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Kafka (or equivalent)
- Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST)
- Experience working in Azure or AWS environment. Prefer AWS/Azure associate level certification.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Expertise in Test Driven Development or writing code with 100% test coverage.
- Experience performance testing micro services. Candidates will be expected to performance test and benchmark the services they author.
- Experience building low latency, high throughput applications with expertise in performance tuning using profiling tools (Dynatrace, jprofiler)
- Team player with high energy.
- Analytical, troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Ability to jump to random new tasks in a fast paced project to get things done - learning new things on a daily basis
- Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, collaborate with other test and development teams.
Preferred:
- Experience with Gitlab (or equivalent), Redis
- Kubernetes flavors on Azure, OpenShift
