We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with a robust background in UI/UX design and development, specializing in Python and geospatial visualization technologies such as Kepler.gl, Deck.gl, and Mapbox. This role is critical for developing intuitive and impactful user interfaces for complex datasets and analytics, enabling users to interact with and understand large-scale geospatial data effectively.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and implement user interfaces that provide seamless user experiences for geospatial data visualization and analysis platforms.
- Work with Large Language Models (LLMs) to integrate natural language processing capabilities into our applications, enhancing user interaction and accessibility.
- Leverage expertise in Python for both backend and frontend development, ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions.
- Utilize Kepler.gl, Deck.gl, and Mapbox for creating dynamic and visually compelling geospatial visualizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, GIS specialists, and software developers, to define and meet project requirements.
- Ensure software quality and maintainability by conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and documenting software designs and implementations.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and sustain a Top Secret clearance after starting, with a preference for candidates holding an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or 3 years with a Master’s degree, or relevant experience with a PhD.
- Strong proficiency in UI/UX design and development, with a portfolio showcasing geospatial visualization projects.
- Expertise in Python programming and experience with LLM frameworks (e.g., crewAI, LangChain)
- Demonstrated experience with geospatial visualization libraries and tools, such as Kepler.gl, Deck.gl, and Mapbox.
- Ability to obtain and sustain a Top Secret clearance after starting, with a preference for candidates holding an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
