About the Job
L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Software Developer. The Software Developer will work on a project that will deliver an integrated health care data warehouse and analytic platform to provide policymakers, researchers, and consumers with a comprehensive repository of health care information. The application that is developed will be used for quality measurement, population health monitoring, value-based purchasing, research, and consumer information. Responsibilities of this position include:
- Work with program staff and business analyst to analyze data, reporting requirements, business / workflow processes, data flows, and system interfaces.
- Coordinate with vendors, data analysts, and contractors on gap analysis and logical design.
- Work with business analyst and developer to perform data extraction and transformation tasks.
- Work with technical manager to ensure the team implements the correct software solution and the solution will meet the needs of the program.
- Compile reports and activity status as requested by the project manager.
- Work well in a matrixed team structure, often facilitating multi-disciplinary teams, translating business/program subject matter information into project artifacts.
- Prepare and execute a knowledge transfer.
- Follow department-level, and division-level directives, best practices, standards, and methodologies, as appropriate or requested.
- 7 years of experience in designing and implementing data visualizations on analytics platforms such as Tableau.
- 7 years of experience with analysis of complex business rules, workflow processes, and re-engineering business processes.
- 7 years of experience with data processing and analysis using Python on Linux platform.
- 6 years of experience writing transformations with healthcare data.
- 6 years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases (like Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.) containing large amounts of data (greater than 10 million rows).
- 6 years of experience authoring a complete set of technical documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Advanced degrees are a plus.
