REQUIRED SKILLS
As a tier-1 service, we value the availability of our customer's features above all else.
Primary responsibilities include developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (JAVA), performing queries, improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, and updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges. Responsibilities also include working alongside development on Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems, and Operating a large container-based workload to deliver operational excellence while meeting/exceeding system SLAs (e.g. Availability, Latency).
NOTE: Candidate will be expected to be on rotation for the team 24/7 on-call support. What will this look like: The candidate will be expected to be on call for a week once every 8 weeks or so.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus five years of progressively responsible
- Multi-threaded programming and distributed programming in Java or C++ on Linux.
- Experience must also involve JDBC, SQL, and Object-Oriented design and design patterns.
- Requires availability for 24x7 on-call support rotation.
- They must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, can work independently, and can maintain professionalism under pressure
- 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 8+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 8+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Distributed Systems Architecture- Currently Using: 6 + Years
- Programming Languages: Java/ JavaScript – Currently Using: 6 + Years
- Other desired technical skills include Mason, Perl CGI, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and UNIX/LINUX.
- MS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related.
