Software Automation Engineer (Secret Clearance) - Zachary Piper LLC

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking Software Automation Engineer to support a Visa Credentialing Program for TSA in Colorado Springs, CO. The team is seeking an engineer skilled and interested in defining test requirements and validating software for an ongoing and critical TSA program.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO – on-site 1x a week  

Hours: Standard operating hours, 8-4

Clearance: Secret clearance, must be able to pass TSA background check (3-6 weeks) 

Responsibilities of the Software Automation Engineer: 

• Work closely with developers, professional services team and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software.
• Candidate must have 1-2 years of hands on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C# desired)
• Candidate should have experience on automation results analysis and generate automation result reports
• Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases    

Qualifications of the Software Automation Engineer: 

·      Bachelors degree and 2+ years of experience in software testing, working with and supporting the development of an overall test plan and tailored test plans for each release

·      Active Secret clearance, willing to obtain TSA clearance

·      Must have experience using one or more of the following test management tools: Cucumber, Selenium, Rational Team Concert

·      Familiarity with API and regression testing

• Previous experience required with the following: 
  • Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD)
  • Test Driven Development (TDD, Cucumber)
  • API testing tools (such as Swagger and REST client)
  • Java (including frameworks such as Spring and Springboot)
  • Automation tools such as JUnit, Selenium WebDriver and REST API
• Must have knowledge in REST/SOAP API design concepts with JSON/XML 

Compensation of the Software Automation Engineer: 

·      Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 **based on years of experience**
