NYS Office for People with Development Disabilities (OPWDD) is seeking a Software Architect Expert to be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for several multi-tiered complex applications.

This individual will be expected to participate in the following activities:
- Meet with Business Owners to determine business requirements.
- Analyze Business Needs to establish technical requirements.
- Design, Development, Test, and Implement the new application which includes data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, preparing logical database models, and creation of database objects.
- Identify and escalate technical risks and issues appropriately.
- Development of technical design documents and program specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to team of developers; mentor less experienced staff.
- Production support tasks including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- 84 months experience using the Microsoft PowerPlatform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Power BI, Power FX).
- 84 months developing Microsoft PowerApps including canvas, model-driven and portal applications.
- 84 months designing, developing, and testing custom workflows utilizing Power Automate.
- 84 months experience designing custom Microsoft SharePoint lists, document libraries, content types and workflows.
- 84 months experience designing complex common data models. Advanced knowledge of relational database concepts.
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
- Daily work hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Physical office location: 500A Balltown Road, Schenectady, NY 12304
- Telecommuting options: At least 50% of scheduled hours per week.
