Software Architect - SOLTECH

Overview:

Seeking a Software Architect to support the design and development of software solutions spanning IoT, data management, and user-facing applications. This role involves working across multiple layers of the stack to integrate systems and help implement secure, scalable, and efficient solutions.

This is a hybrid role with Tuesdays and Thursdays in office every week.

Job Details:

• Contribute to the architecture of distributed systems within the IoT ecosystem, including data pipelines and user interfaces.
• Support cloud strategy by implementing AWS solutions for computing, storage, and data management.
• Assist in designing secure integrations between IoT devices, databases, cloud platforms, and applications.
• Help develop data pipelines and warehousing solutions for IoT data, with a focus on data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to develop user-friendly interfaces in Angular.
• Apply best practices in AWS, .NET, Python, SQL, and Angular across various projects.
• Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects align with business goals.
• Support system security, performance, and adherence to industry standards.
• Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives for architecture and design.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years in software architecture or development roles.
• Proficiency in AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB), .NET (C#), Python, SQL, and Angular.
• Experience with enterprise software architecture and data management.
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and microservices architecture.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management (IAM), and DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong communication skills and experience in Agile methodologies.
• Experience with IoT systems and firmware development is a plus.

Location:

Position based in Tallassee, Alabama, or Duluth, Georgia, with up to 20% travel to manufacturing or customer locations as needed.
