A Software Architect will act as a high-level contributor in assisting the Development team with tasks related to product design, technology selection, coding, testing, and documentation. The Software Architect has no personnel management responsibilities, but may be called upon to act as a lead in software initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle (design, test, release and support)
- Champion development initiatives and organize sub-groups in their implementation
- Contribute as a key member of a SCRUM team in support of an Agile process
- Be considered an area expert by other development team managers, as well as product owners
- Lead department analysis, design, and code reviews
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring
- Communicating with other internal and external technology leaders to advance the applications and prepare for future technology shifts.

What You’ll Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in software design and coding preferred
- High technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, and implementation
- Evidence of self-motivation and drive
- Expert analytical and design skills at a multi-product and multi-environment level
- Expertise in creating software that is extensible and reusable
- Expertise in building multitier architectures using modern paradigms such as MVC.
- Experience with microservice-focused design patterns and common platforms used in their implementation
- Expertise in modern software development platforms such as .NET, Python or Java (including related languages such as Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS)
- Experience in one or more RDMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). Exposure to NoSQL data storage
- Experience with building application in AWS, Azure, or other cloud-based services
- Experience with hybrid HTML environments such as Ionic, Angular (mobile), PhoneGap, Kendo UI, etc.
- Experience with Windows/Linux and scripting languages like Python, Powershell, Perl, etc.
- A pattern of technical curiosity that is demonstrable across programming languages, contexts, and application architectures.
- Awareness of business issues as they impact overall project or product plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
