Softball Director - Rink Management Services

SOFTBALL DIRECTOR

Under the supervision of the General Manager-

Needs to be experienced in organizing major events and have a thorough understanding and knowledge of softball.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the oversight and implementation of all tasks related to operations
• Participates in planning/strategic meetings when requested
• Implements program marketing plan and strategy, drives growth of program
• Participates in local/regional PR campaign
• Develops program schedule
• Integrates league information into facility management software
• Oversees the development of all program curriculum
• Forecasts all program revenue
• Generates pre-opening program sales
• Purchases equipment
• Participates in the acquisition and training of program staff
• Leads program alliance development efforts
• Markets and promotes all programs
• Coordinates with other departments to update and maintain all sport specific information on the website, social media, and marketing materials in the facility
• Develops relationships with appropriate clubs and organizations
• Oversees leagues including scheduling, standings team/player roster management, rule development, registration, and collections
• Acts as tournament director at all tournaments
• Purchases and maintains equipment
• Manages staff
• Develops and manages umpire program
• Evaluates and improves program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience coaching/teaching both youth and adult sports
• Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and negotiating skills
• Must be a team player
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Must possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications or must be willing to obtain them within a specified period of time
