Position Summary
Barrio Tacos is looking for a talented, creative, and multi-skilled Social Media and Marketing Manager to enhance our brand’s presence and customer engagement. This role combines strategic campaign development, content creation, and digital marketing expertise with hands-on skills in graphic design, photography, videography, and e-commerce management. The ideal candidate will help develop innovative campaigns, maintain our digital platforms, and ensure the Barrio brand remains vibrant and engaging.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to grow followers, boost engagement, and drive traffic to Barrio Tacos locations, website, and online store.
Create, schedule, and post engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter.
Monitor and engage with the community, responding to messages and comments to foster connections.
Track and analyze social media metrics to measure performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Campaign Development & Digital Marketing
Plan and execute innovative marketing campaigns, including promotions, events, partnerships, and seasonal features.
Lead digital marketing efforts, including paid ads, SEO, email campaigns, and web traffic strategies.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content that aligns with both local and national marketing goals.
Graphic Design
Create high-quality marketing materials, including social media graphics, email designs, menus, promotional materials, and in-store signage.
Maintain consistency in branding across all channels and ensure designs are engaging and on-brand.
Photography & Videography
Plan and execute regular photo and video shoots to capture high-quality content of food, drinks, restaurant ambiance, and events.
Edit photos and videos to produce polished, on-brand visuals for use across social media, campaigns, and advertisements.
Develop creative video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other platforms to highlight the Barrio experience.
Website Management
Maintain and update the Barrio Tacos website with current menus, promotions, events, and news.
Work with the web development team to ensure the site is functional, user-friendly, and optimized for SEO.
Implement content updates that align with ongoing marketing efforts and campaigns.
E-Commerce Management
Manage the Barrio Tacos online swag shop, including inventory, product updates, and promotional campaigns.
Develop strategies to drive online merchandise sales and improve the customer shopping experience.
Brand Management
Ensure consistent tone, visuals, and messaging across all platforms and marketing materials.
Stay updated on food, beverage, and marketing trends to keep the brand fresh and relevant.
Collaboration
Partner with restaurant managers and franchisees to support local store marketing (LSM) initiatives.
Work with external vendors for services such as printing, paid advertisements, or special projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in social media management, marketing, and digital marketing, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom) or equivalent design and editing tools.
Strong skills in graphic design, photography, and videography, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
Experience in digital marketing platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and email marketing tools.
Proficiency in website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
