Chaise Management Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Media Manager to lead and execute a dynamic, multi-channel campaign focused on HIV and STI prevention among gay and bisexual men, transgender/gender non-conforming individuals, and Black/African American women. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the unique needs of these communities, and the ability to craft engaging content and develop tailored marketing strategies that resonate across diverse platforms.
As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing HIV/STI prevention campaigns through a mix of social media, digital and traditional media, influencer collaborations, swag, events, and online dating platforms. A particular emphasis will be placed on advertising through MSM (Men who have Sex with Men) dating websites such as Grindr, Scruff, Jack’D, BGC (Black Gay Chat), Manhunt, Growler, Sniffies, and others. Your creative efforts will help drive awareness, education, and actionable change for at-risk communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Development & Strategy:
- Design and implement comprehensive HIV and STI prevention campaigns tailored to gay and bisexual men, transgender/gender non-conforming persons, and Black/African American women.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify key messaging, branding, and creative direction for the campaign.
- Develop and execute a cross-platform strategy that includes social media, dating apps, digital advertising, influencer marketing, traditional media, and live or virtual events.
- Social Media & Digital Advertising:
- Create and manage paid and organic social media campaigns on high-priority platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, SnapChat, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), and other emerging platforms.
- Optimize advertising campaigns across MSM dating platforms like Grindr, Scruff, Jack'D, Manhunt, Growler, and Sniffies, including developing engaging banner ads, targeted digital marketing, and direct outreach.
- Utilize geo-fencing sites to reach the target populations.
- Analyze ad performance and adjust campaigns to improve reach, engagement, and impact.
- Content Creation:
- Develop compelling content that educates, inspires, and engages diverse communities on HIV/STI prevention, testing, and safer sex practices.
- Produce visual and written assets including banners, infographics, videos, social media posts, blog articles, and other creative materials.
- Curate and maintain a content calendar that aligns with campaign goals and key health observances.
- Community Engagement & Outreach:
- Foster relationships with influencers, advocates, and community leaders to amplify campaign reach and authenticity.
- Respond to community feedback, questions, and concerns in a timely and respectful manner across all platforms.
- Organize and promote events (online and in-person) aimed at educating and engaging target communities around HIV/STI prevention.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Track, measure, and report on the performance of all campaign initiatives, providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Use data-driven insights to refine messaging, targeting, and campaign tactics to ensure maximum effectiveness and reach.
- Monitor emerging trends in social media and digital health campaigns to continuously improve strategies and outcomes.
- Collaborative Leadership:
- Work closely with other departments, including public health experts, creatives, and community outreach teams, to ensure the campaign’s messaging is accurate, inclusive, and effective.
- Help coordinate cross-functional teams in the development of creative assets, media buying, and content distribution.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or public health communications, with a strong portfolio of work demonstrating successful campaigns for diverse, marginalized communities.
- Experience specifically with MSM (Men who have Sex with Men) dating platforms such as Grindr, Scruff, Jack'D, Manhunt, and others.
- Strong understanding of HIV/STI prevention, sexual health, and the unique challenges faced by gay/bisexual men, transgender/gender non-conforming people, and Black/African American women.
- Skills:
- Expertise in creating digital campaigns and content across Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat, and emerging platforms.
- Proficient in ad management tools (Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, etc.) and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, social media insights).
- Strong copywriting, graphic design, and video editing skills, or experience working with content creation teams to develop high-quality materials.
- Experience with event planning and community engagement.
