Super Soccer Stars, a leading educational soccer program throughout the country, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Soccer Coach to join their team. As a Soccer Coach, you will work with small groups of children across various ages, developing their soccer skills, physical literacy, and teamwork abilities. At Soccer Stars, we believe in using positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio to help each child feel confident, regardless of their age or skill level. With over 20 years of experience, Soccer Stars has a best-in-class curriculum that is specific and progressive to every child's developmental needs.
As a Soccer Coach, your role will be instrumental in the development of children's gross motor skills and socialization skills, making a positive impact on their lives. You will be part of a player pathway that includes the Parent & Me program, FUN with FUNdamentals, and Soccer Stars United for advanced development and competitive play. Whether it's through classes, camps, afterschool enrichment, birthday parties, or team training, you will be making a difference in the lives of over 100,000 participants each year.
We are seeking coaches in the following areas:
- New York City
- Brooklyn
- New Jersey (Hoboken and Jersey City)
Responsibilities
- Conducting fun and engaging soccer classes, lessons, and games.
- Building strong relationships with children, parents, and other coaches.
- Creating and implementing lesson plans based on the Soccer Stars curriculum.
- Promoting the Soccer Stars program by engaging with the local community through outreach events and marketing initiatives.
- Keeping up-to-date records of class curriculum, attendance, and participant progress.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with the Soccer Stars guidelines.
- Continuously improving personal coaching skills and attending mandatory training sessions.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, preferably in a sports-related setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with children and parents.
- Strong soccer background and knowledge of the sport.
- Passion for working with children and improving their physical literacy, gross motor skills, and socialization skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and/or evenings.
- Reliable transportation to and from coaching locations.
