SOC Analyst - Dexian - Signature Consultants

Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled SOC Analyst to join their security operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to potential security threats. This position involves using Splunk and other SIEM tools to protect the organization's systems, infrastructure, and intellectual property, as well as managing security requests efficiently.
Responsibilities:

• 
  Incident Monitoring and Analysis:
  • Utilize Splunk and other SIEM tools to monitor security logs and incidents across the organization's infrastructure.
  • Analyze suspicious activities and investigate potential threats flagged by SIEM dashboards.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve security issues promptly.
• 
  Security Request Handling:
  • Respond to security-related inquiries received via phone and email.
  • Provide accurate and timely support for a variety of security requests.
• 
  Threat Investigation Examples:
  • Investigate potential phishing emails.
  • Analyze suspicious network traffic and websites.
  • Address unauthorized downloads, software, or processes.
  • Identify policy violations and monitor for insider threats.
  • Protect the organization's intellectual property from online threats.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with SIEM tools (Splunk experience is a strong plus).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and common threat types.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
