- Certifications: Snowflake certification is a plus.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer Snowflake databases and warehouses for multiple environments, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
- Implement and maintain database security by creating roles, users, and managing access controls.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies.
- Plan and execute database maintenance tasks.
- Performance TuningMonitor and optimize the performance of Snowflake databases and SQL queries.
- Implement best practices for efficient data storage and query execution.
- Monitoring and ReportingSet up and manage monitoring tools and alerts for Snowflake environments.
- Generate and analyze reports on database performance, usage, and capacity planning.
- User Support and TrainingProvide support to application developers and end-users for Snowflake-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions for teams on Snowflake best practices and usage.Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of Snowflake configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues.
- CollaborationWork closely with data architects, data engineers, and other stakeholders to design and implement scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support data initiatives and projects.Compliance and AuditingEnsure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular audits of database security and performance.
