THE STARTING RATE OF PAY FOR A SNOW LABORER THIS SEASON IS $18.00 PER HOUR BUT COULD GO UP FROM THERE BASED ON PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS YOU HAVE.

Snow Season positions are Seasonal, Part-time, ON-CALL & most often OVERNIGHT positions, though there could be more hours or varied start times for some Branches dependent upon service contracts. You will not likely start work until the first measurable snowfall of the year that cannot be handled by the full-time crew we retain all year; SO there could be a significant period of time between interview and receiving an offer of employment before you start working.

As a company, we use E-Verify; which means, you MUST have the actual documents required to prove your right to work in the US in order to interview and receive an Offer of Employment. Upon request we can send a document that explains what is needed for E-Verify so you can get missing documents as needed.

The only requirements for this role are the ability to reliably commute to the Branch, Authorization to Work in the US (must have physical documents required to prove, we use E-Verify), the Physical capability to do the job and being able to report in an on-call manner, to the Branch for work when contacted and asked to do so. Also, please note: This is physically demanding, hard work in extreme temperatures, often OVERNIGHT and for 4-12 hours at a time. This is not work for the faint of heart, so please consider all of this before applying.

Interviews could start as soon as late October, though there has been no firm timeline shared by this branch at this time, this is just an estimate based on previous years recruiting notes.

Here’s what you’d do:

Snow Tech you will be responsible for performing all tasks related to snow removal. Shifts are on-call and range from 6 to 12 hours and are often overnight depending on the storm event. May require longer hours for larger storms. The season starts on the first snow fall.

You’d be responsible for:

Responsible for performing all tasks related to snow removal, including operating ATV plows, snow blowers, snow shovels and e-pokes (salt spreaders).
Work with Sidewalk-Crew Leaders as a team to efficiently and safely complete each assignment

You might be a good fit if you have:

18 years of age or older
Work well under pressure while observing safety guidelines with minimal supervision
Have a smart phone (to download and use our attendance tracker App)
Have dependable transportation
You must attend and pass training and a background check
Able to lawfully work in the USA
