Under direct supervision of the SNAP-Ed Program Manager deliver SNAP-Ed nutrition education initiatives in a variety of community-based settings to priority groups in SC DHEC & DSS counties.

Conduct nutrition education and physical activity programming for youth and adult SNAP clients and eligible populations in designated counties. Ensure adherence to the ServSafe® guidelines to promote optimal food safety for participants, volunteers, and staff.

Serve as the primary preceptor for dietetic interns. Coordinate with the Division Director and Internship Director to plan and evaluate interns/experiences and assist in identifying other nutrition-related CBOs for experiential learning.
 
Serve as the subject matter expert for all It’s Your Health…Take Charge education curriculums. Act as the facilitator, create, curate, review and implement evidence-based educational materials.
 
Build and maintain relationships with community partners to promote partnerships for direct education and policy, systems and environment (PSE) change opportunities to guide behavior change related to obesity prevention. Assume leadership roles in designated counties by serving on local coalitions, wellness committees, School Improvement Councils, etc.
 
Conduct outreach to community-based organizations (CBOs) to promote SNAP initiatives and services, including reviewing potential partners for appropriateness of services and coordinating with program administrative coordinator to obtain Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs.)
 
Other duties as assigned, including disaster preparedness and response as required.
