Interconnect Systems (ISI), a Molex Company, currently has an opening for an SMT Process Engineer. Your skills will directly impact the current and future growth of the SMT Area for the company. Interconnect Systems (ISI), a Molex company, manufactures high performance electronic assemblies in our Camarillo, CA factory.
What You Will Do
- Develop and optimize SMT processes, including stencil design, solder paste selection, and reflow profiling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and improve yield.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality of new products.
- Conduct process validation and qualification for new equipment and materials.
- Implement and maintain process control plans and documentation.
- Train and support production staff on SMT processes and best practices.
- Analyze process data and implement corrective actions to improve process performance.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in SMT technology.
- Support other areas of manufacturing processes as back up for other process engineers.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar OR 2+ years of experience in SMT process engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SMT equipment, materials, and processes.
- Experience with process optimization and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience or certification in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of IPC standards and quality management systems.
In order to comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations, this position requires applicants to either provide proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status or be eligible to receive an export authorization (a license) under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.
For this role, we anticipate paying $70,000- $100,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form .
